Osteopathy

Osteopathy is a science, a philosophy and a practice that works to restore proper alignment and function to joints. Through our daily habits or injuries, our bodies become misaligned. As a result, there is a disruption to the way our nerves, arteries, veins and lymphatics function. Disruption can lead to compensation and discomfort. By working with the interrelated systems and functions of the human body, osteopathic manual therapy can restore proper function and motion. With motion restored the body can self-heal, self-regulate, and function as it was intended.

  • Osteopathic manual therapy is based on the structural integrity of the body and optimal alignment encourages the bodies intrinsic ability to self-heal through blood, nerve and lymphatic flow. An osteopathic manual practitioner has extensive knowledge of anatomy and physiology. Treatment can improve function, which can increase motion, reduce pain and enhance the quality of life.

  • Osteopathic manual therapy can help with reducing symptoms related to many conditions such as:

    Work and sport-related injuries

    Joint and arthritic pain

    Muscle tension and pain

    Headaches and migraines

    … and more

Animal Osteopathy

Over the last year I have worked hard to complete my graduate degree in animal osteopathy, practicing on great sport performance horses as well as lovely household pets. I am delighted to provide my services to the surrounding area and to help our four legged friends stay active. Please if you have any questions do not be afraid to reach out!
